The United Way of Essex and West Hudson is seeking nominees for the organization's William M. Ashby Community Service Award.

Established in 1990, the award is named in honor of William Ashby, noted author, civil rights leader, and founder of the local United Way and the Newark affiliate of the Urban League. It is presented annually at the "William M. Ashby Community Service Award Breakfast", which will be held on June 10, 2010 at NJPAC.
